Tagoror was the assembly were the Guanches, old inhabitants of Tenerife Island, used to debate and decide about their communities. With this idea in mind I would like to endow the audiovisual creation with features of participation, transversality and cooperation.
Following the lead of Participatory Video, students perform exercises and games to learn how to use the shooting gear (microphones, cameras, recorders, clapperboard...). Later on they prepare their own fiction, documentary or videoart projects.
This project was funded by TEA (Tenerife Space of Arts) and framed in its initiative "An Artists Come to Visit us" whose vision is to bring in the work of museums and artists to schools.
